7. Approach to the Inmost Cave

 

This is the seventh stage of the Hero's Journey. This is the part where the hero and newfound allies are led/brought to the stronghold of the opposition also known as the inmost cave. They prepare for the ultimate battle to face the ordeal in the special world. Usually when the hero reaches the inmost cave they're faced with doubts and fears that first surfaced when  the hero was called to adventure. The hero would then need some time to prepare mentally and reflect upon his journey to find the courage to continue to the ordeal.
